Visit Shenzhen
My first China visit was to the city of Shenzhen, described as the window of China’s opening up policy, and I have returned again for two further visits. With its great attractions and services, Shenzhen is a good place for you to also commence an exploration of China. I have developed some useful guides to help you learn about visiting Shenzhen and its many attractions:

Henan, Anhui, Zhejiang 2009
Zhengzhou, capital city of Henan province, was where we commenced our August 2009 visit. There we visited the nearby Shaolin Temple and the Yellow River Scenic Area. After that we travelled to Anhui province to visit capital city Hefei, the ancient villages of Xidi and Hongcun, beautiful Huangshan (Yellow Mountain), and the Yangtze River city of Wuhu. We also briefly visited Qiandao lake and Hangzhou city in Zhejiang province, and finished the trip with a return visit to Xiangcheng Henan.

Shenzhen 2007
My first visit to China in July 2007 was to the city of Shenzhen, located near Hong Kong. Shenzhen gave me a great introduction to China. It was established as a Special Economic Zone in 1980, and since that time has grown from a small village into a major and economically significant city.
